Yo ahora uso Illustrator, pero empecé con Inkscape.
Inkscape es parecido pero de software libre (gratis). Aprendí mucho con él, es bastante sencillo e intuitivo.
Ambas opciones tienen buen soporte y mucha gente lo comenta en foros de internet.

yo normalmente he usado el Paint Tool Sai pero para hacer diseños quiero aprender a usar el Photoshop(estoy en ello) e Illustrator que son lo mas profesionales
